Innovations in Assessing Quality of Life in Late Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors

teen-doctorDr. Crystal Park and Dr. Blank and their students are developing a new measure of quality of life that specifically focuses on issues germane to late adolescents and young adults. This research is funded by the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Participants are 225 young adult survivors who were diagnosed between the ages of 18 and 39. We are currently obtaining a second wave of data one year later from these participants to examine determinants of change in life quality. Thus far, preliminary data indicate significant changes in many areas. This project has been featured in six national presentations; articles are in process.
